       This is my proposal about the private security corporation known as Blackwater Inc. This paper is going to give the average American an inside look into the world of private contracting like it or not. The author of this paper wants to stir up in your mind an opinion based off of facts that have been researched which can also be researched by the reader. I have done a little bit of research on the topic and plan to do a lot more to make this research paper the best damn thing on the face of the planet.

         I have a personal liking for what the men in this organization do and plan to one day do it myself. I am in college but if I were not I would be a Navy SEAL. Upon leaving the Navy I would be looking for employment in the world of private security.

         My interest in this topic goes deeper than you will ever know but through reading my writing you may be able to get an idea of how deep my passion for this really is. Reading this literature I have created you will be able to at least scratch the surface in the world of Blackwater. Knowing a little bit more about your country and their dealings within Iraq is always a good thing in my eyes’ am very interested in the world of private contracting and especially in Blackwaters dealings in Iraq.

         This topic is worth consideration because blackwater has been kicked out of Iraq due to some of their actions. Some of the choices of which were made by the contractors were indeed immoral but you as a human would have done it also. This I feel is a very important topic and needs to be further researched because of the lack of knowledge that the group exists. I hope to learn from conducting useful research a lot more about the organization and their dealings in Iraq as far as their contract.

         This paper when it is complete will make you think just how much is really out there and going on that you have no idea about. The little stuff that gets swept under the rug in Iraq and in private contracting will come to noticeable barrier indeed. A new light will be shed on the company and hopefully you will see that they are just doing their jobs.

         This paper I think will make a new fold in history as far as the effort and all the research that is uncovered. Knowledge not just useful to students in research writing, but indeed important knowledge for the country as a whole. The findings I plan to share with anyone who will read what I have to say. If they do not then I am okay with that also it’s not going to be literature for everyone.

         Using the cutting edge library and its helpful databases, I will find a lot of my information which is key to this paper’s survival. Along with the library I plan to do a little research on my own gaining through questionnaire knowledge about important subject matter. Asking questions that deal with moral, spiritual, and lawful events in ones choices I will gain more of a feel for my audience. After I get a feel I will know just how to talk to them and help the reader’s relate. Online databases and refereed journal articles will help me fill in the important factors in key areas of research. Using anything that is fact and not made up will be incorporated into this paper. I plan to email the owners of this particular company (Blackwater) and see if I can get an interview of sorts with them. I want to figure out from a military persons point their feelings on Blackwater in Iraq

         I expect to receive many cases of writer’s cramp and writer’s block. Figuring out how to deal with both of these will be stressful and a new experience. I do not think that I will be able to get a hold of key elements in the world of Blcakwater due to the fact that everything is Top Secret but I sure as hell am going to attempt to. I doubt I will loose motivation but I am sure I will ask why I am doing this towards the end of the 15 pages. The hardest part of things for me is going to be the introduction because there is too much to say.

Blackwater Inc is a company based out of North Carioliana and is all about security for high priority targets who mady need a little protection. I am writing about them because they were rectntly kicked out of Iraq and they have lost their liscense in Iraq along with the canceling of their contract in the middle east. Blackwater was hired by the iriqi goverment to help sustain security for their key people in their goverment. I also read in an article that the reason that they were kicked out was not because of their actions it was mostly because of the way they reacyed in iraq to a car bomob going off. It was said by the contractors theirselves that when they were in an area in iraq they recieved small arms fire which the then engaged by raing some lead into some bodies they really did not say that i added that much but they did later say that the reason that thuis hahppened and innocent ptoplt were killed was because of a car bomb that went off. I do not know about you but if I am in an already hostile area and a fuckin car blows up newxt to me and all i have are my boys and a gun along with a shit load of ammunition i am sorry but if you are running i am goigng to fuck your day up and worry about it later.  1) What is your major research question or concern?

• My major research question or concern is the possibility that my research paper will make people mad at me. More importantly is the question as to the possibility that my view on private contractors may change.

2) Why are you curious about this?

• Well I have wanted to know more about this topic for a while now I just never had a reason to look this deep into it and conduct research. The main interest looking at this topic is mainly dealing with the contractors who have prior armed service with Special Forces.

3) What led you to have an interest in this topic?

• I may end up in my career join a private contracting organization and have to operate much like the well-trained individuals at Blackwater. Lets face it this is what the contractors were trained to do which is protect and deter threats at any cost. Also, the money the individuals makes it very much worth risking your life.

• I think that private contractors are made to do things that may be wrong to society to protect their own lives in dangerous situations.
• I think that Blackwater Inc. could have been better represented by the government and regulated a little better by the government
• Blackwater brings a new look at the world of private security and fits the needs of their clients very well.
• Blackwater employees are of a high caliber possessing the cutting edge security needed for security in hostile territory.
• The organization is unique and needs to continue to bring new innovations to the world of private contracting in Iraq and around the world.

6) Research conducted

• There has been nothing but negative research done by the media and all of which has been published.
• I plan to bring out the good and the bad along with a lot of truth creating the noticeable reasons why the company is still needed in Iraq and their usefulness.
• My contribution in research will hopefully be one in nature to clear up the reputation of the company, and to prove their effectiveness.

7) Possible methods of research

• I plan to pass out questioners to the people willing to take them along with their submission I plan to make a poll of my findings. Using questions that will let me know if the individual even knows what a private contractor is.
• Through the use of online articles and newspapers I will also be able to conduct my research and gather more information.

I so not know what to write but i am just going to write whatever pops into my head about Blackwater. I do not know much about the individuals that are contracted to this private orginazation other than what I have seen on t.v. and what i have seen on the posts on youtube. This paper is designed to give you an American who does not know much about private contractors a inside look into the world of the contractors. The government has hired them and now they have gone back and fucked every private contractor for doing what they were told to do.

 Why would you as an American want to learn about the life of a private contractor and just what they do?

Why would you as an average amercian want to learn about the life of a private contractor and what role they play in hostile areas of Iraq.

Blackwater is a private contracting organization that was kicked out of Iraq for being “too Radical” but without the private contractors a major part of the progress would be non-existent.

Blackwater is a private  contracting organization that has been removed from Iraq, without the use of private contractors would America be as advanced as they are in Iraq?

About ME!!!!!!!!

Hello! My name is Jerrod W. Foster but you can call me Foster. That name was kind of adapted due to the fact that I have a twin brother and our names are so similar. I am a 6′2 athlete from Penn Hills, Pennsylvania a town known for its basketball, football, and occasional violence. Coming from a pretty diverse background I get along with pretty much everyone. My High School Penn Hills Sr. High School was a good environment for me that made me this way because I had a lot of friends from many different ethnic backgrounds. I was a typical jock of sorts and I played Basketball, and Volleyball (in 2006 I was second team all W.I.P.I.A.L.) Throughout my life I was very active and still am, participating in anything that I feel is worth doing and in everything that is fun in life.     

If there is anything I have learned so far in this life of mine it is that life is too short. I have been in many situations where I now see just how important life is to me. I was in a really bad car accident which left me on life support for a day and a half, and it was living through that that I knew what my meaning here on earth was. It was to protect others rights and to teach about the things people forget about. (Hence me being a history teacher in the making) That does not mean though that I do not still take risks because I do, I just realize that life happens pretty quick and it can end even faster. I am very active when it comes to anything that has to do with the United States Navy, and particularly anything to do with Navy SEALS.

                Ever since the age of 11 I have been drawn to the professionalism, swiftness, agility, calmness and the control they have over the crazy situations they find their selves in. So at age 11 I was enlisted into the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps. Sea Cadets was a place very similar to the ROTC that most of us had in High School, and even in some of our colleges. It was here that I became very well disciplined, controlled and my love for the teams (Navy SEAL Teams) grew profoundly.

                Thanks to the Sea Cadets I have been on many military bases and have received extensive training at a very young age. I first went to boot camp at the age of 14 in Aberdeen Maryland. This place I was left at alone for with 30 other individuals was called Aberdeen Proving grounds. Probably should have been labeled hell because it was more of that in my eyes as a 14 year old. I was 14 and I was there for two weeks getting up at 4:30 in the morning to conduct military exercises and military classes. Waking up to the sound of a drill instructor is not always the best alarm clock, and grows old very quick. Granted I was only there for two weeks I was made to become a man in that short period of time.

                Following up with the graduation of boot camp I attended training with the Coast Guard for a month and a half, Military Police school in Virginia Beach twice (once as a trainee and once as a Instructor), Two weeks at a national boot camp as a Drill Instructor, and almost went to Jr. Navy SEAL training. I have done a lot while still very young received many awards, metals, and have met a lot of high ranking officials in the United States Military. As you can tell I love the Navy and in only a short period of time I will be serving in the Navy living my dream as a Navy SEAL.

                 Enough about all the military talk its time to talk about me and the life I live in this current time and place at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am a sophomore at Indiana University of Pennsylvania also know to most as IUP and yes it is a good time here. I am a History major with a concentration in Social Studies Education and I love to have fun just like every other teenager in college. I am a very out going individual who loves to meet new people and I am the first to say that I run my mouth maybe a little too much. This amazing feat of mine I guess ”gets my ass in trouble a lot” according to my mother Jessie Foster. I am an Aquarius born on the 25^th and according to yahoo.com my horoscope reads the following for the week of January 21, 2008:

I believe that this research paper is more of an narrative autobiography looking at my life and telling the reader who I am. It is about me (narrative) so that is what makes me think or feel that is such a type of essay. If I could change two things about my writing, I would change my use of run on sentences, and the use of conjunction and.

What is research?

Well according to www.dictionary.com research is listed as diligent and systematic inquiry or investigation into a subject in order to discover or revise facts, theories, applications, etc…A little drawn out if you ask me though. I think that they are right as far as the work that is being done or as the say “investigation”, and you are inquiring into something which happens to be a subject definitely.

Fortunately, I think research can be summarized a little easier than that. Research at least to me is looking up all the things you do not have the answers to in your little brain of yours. Conducting this research can lead to gaining valuable knowledge that you never thought you would ever posses. That’s right, all the answers are found after you look for them, to me that is my theory or definition if you will on research.

Further speaking on the matter it takes time to find these answers and to come up with a theory or blueprint of your own. Time and effort must be placed into this though for it to be done correctly, not enough research can lead to you never actually understanding just how important research actually is. This tool we can call on when we do not know what to say or what something is abstractly is very valuable. This  unique out look on certain subject matter can be a valuable tool showing and giving answers to things or events you do not have the anwsers for.
