Risky behaviors, choices, and ego of members in Greek Organizations

I. Introduction

a. Define what being greek is and the reasons why people go through this process to become greek letter holders. 

b. My backround as far as being greek

c. thesis statement- Risky decisions, behaviors along with members of Greek organizations ego give insight to the way “being Greek” is interpreated. I want to know why greek organizations have such a bad reputation and what leads to making risky deciaions, behaviors, and the egos that follow.

d. Implications- If being greek is so bad then why do the administrators of colleges have such a problem with “Greek Life” around the campus.

II. Furthur detial of the explination of my question.

a.  I am a brother of a fraternity and i wanted to know why members of greek orginazations make the decisions they do about risky behavior and decisions. I also wanted to research why the “greeks” have such a big ego when it comes to dealing with “non-greeks” in society.

b. Why are fraternities so big on consuming massive ammounts of alcohol as quick as possible.

c.  Why is it that everytime a mamber of a grrek organization parties do the have to consume alcohol.

 d. Why is there so much drama at parties where risky behavior is taking place.

 e. Do fraternities only fight when they are drunk?
