Your information is great! But are you going to mention the fraternities that aren't into the whole drinking scene, like professional fraternities? For instance, I'm in Sigma Alpha Iota, which is a professional music fraternity for women. I'm not saying that a lot of the girls don't drink, but the fraternity as a whole looks down on the idea of illegal drinking. So, not all fraternities are the "bad" ones that people think of. But it all sounds good so far! This sounds good so far. Your information is great! I am in a sorority here too and I can relate alot to your questions and the points you've made. -I think the point you made about the values is true for some people...but other people may have joined to put it on their resume, become a leader with holding an office or maybe even the philanthropy aspect. (I know these are kind of lame reasons.) I think you're on the right track. I am really excited to see the end result of your paper.
