IUP known for its parties and its underage drinking is a place where every weekend something happens to change individual’s lives. This is a fictional narrative look into the lives of students who attend IUP. Their names are Ahmed and Brittney. These students were all good students who made decisions and were affected by the harsh realities of the college life and life as a whole. some of which can change their ways and learn from their mistakes and some who are scared and cannot. This narrative is just a few of the things that could take place on any college campus but it is based at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Pennsylvania.
The first story we will begin with is Ahmed a young white male here at IUP to run track and field and who is a member of the Dean’s List. A short biography of his life will be discussed just to catch you up and give you a general background of his life. Ahmed was born in a small town outside of Pittsburgh and has been an athlete for all of his life. At a young age he was introduced to track and field and managed to be one of the fastest long distance runners in the state. Ahmed only cared about two things though in his life and those were girls and sports. His grades were good and he never failed but he was always doing just average. He knew he could do better but he had no motivation because he was bored with the classes taught at his high school.
After graduating High School Ahmed was accepted to Indiana University of Pennsylvania a school in the tiny town of Indiana Pennsylvania.Upon living on campus his first year he began to realize what was distracting him from his studies and wanted to buckle down and start focusing on school and sports and not just girls. He managed to do so but in the process he even managed to even be a member of the Dean’s list at the college. His first semester he received a 3.0 and the second semester he received a 3.8 placing him onto the dean’s list.
His parents were excited because they new he could do this all along and he knew himself he just did not find the motivation to do so until he began college. After his first year and receiving sophomore status he began to go out and party with his friends at houses and fraternity houses. This is the account of what happened that night that changed his life given the next day to the Indiana Police Department.
We were at my apartment and we just returned form buying a case of Lionshead beer and we were going to go out to the fraternity houses up here at IUP. We had drunk the entire case split evenly between the four of us and then we were ready to go out. We left the apartment and went to Sig Chi where we could not get in because we were not on their list of people to let into their house. After being denied we went to the TKE house and we got in here we drank more beer and ended up leaving because we met some girls. We walked them home and on our way back we saw one of our friends who told us he was having a party at his house. We went to the house and it was a small party where we met a lot of people that were pretty cool, or so it seemed. A few beers later we found ourselves dancing with the girls at the party and then heading upstairs.
When we got upstairs we had learned that someone broke into one of the guys room and stole all of the girls money from their purses. At that point we all emptied our pockets to sho that it was not us who indeed took the money. After all the confusion one
of the guys sitting on the floor was so drunk that he could not even shut the box of pizza that he had brought to eat. We all laughed at him and he jumped into my face.
Upon being pushed back into his room by one of his friends he said to me “I will slit your throat” at that point I said yeah whatever and walked into the kitchen. I did not know that two of his friends walked in behind me and when I did it was two late. All I heard was just hit him and then I was punched in the face while I was not looking.
Upon me getting up to defend myself, I was pushed back into the cabinet and then punched square in the face. I was not unconscious but I was bleeding pretty badly and my face began to swell. I was leaving the house and was hit one more time. That’s when I went home and iced my face because I knew it would be bad the next day.
The police officer stood there and simply said well let’s take some pictures for evidence. Ahmed agreed and three photos were taken as evidence for his behalf.
Nice work so far. I enjoyed the police report section. I would like to read the rest when you put it up. I like how you put the information together and I can tell that it is based off of your research since I have read that paper as well. Don’t get frustrated, you will do fine.
